Lost pst file

Hi,

I have some .pst files in removable HDD and using with Outlook. I moved that HDD to another computer and used Outlook there. It's ok. But when I came back to the first computer (Microsoft Exchange) and all of sudden all my pst folders are lost. I cannot see and find out the folders then I lost all my email. When I run Recovery My Files and I saw one of folders in Orphaned but cannot see others anywhere. Please help me to recover all my email since I lost 7 GB email :(.

I am using Window 10 and Outlook 2013.

Thanks.

Hi,

You will need to use some 3rd-party tools to find the lost .pst file, it can't be guaranteed the file can be recovered. So a regular backup is suggested for .pst files.

Hello,

As the Moderator suggested that you have to go to any third party utility. I also faced the similar problem in my past. Then, one of my friends suggested me a PST Recovery Tool to recover damaged PST File. So, I would like to recommend you this tool on the behalf of my personal experience.

Note: Try its demo version before purchasing.

Thanks & Regards

Hi,

I did back up it in my removable HDD and using it there. But all of sudden the folders disappeared. In the parent folder, I have 9 email child folders for 9 email accounts. Now, 3 out of 9 are missing.

I used few third party programs such as Recovery My File, Datarecovery ... to try to recover but cannot find those missing folders anywhere. They are totally lost.

Please advise any ways if could be to recover

Many thanks

I hope you have edb file on your first computer where Exchange server is installed. You can backup/export emails & other data from relevant mailbox (from .edb file) into pst file. Let me if you need further assistance!

No, I don't have any edb file since I put the .pst file in the removable HDD. All the emails (7 GB) are backup emails :(. Then now I don't know where to find it back. I did not delete, format or other crazy likes.

All of sudden they disappeared. It's awful. When openning file explorer, I saw the folders, but after opening microsoft outlook, the folders lost

Please advise

In absence of EDB, you can try 3rd party Windows Data Recovery software to scan and recover PST file from HDD. I don't think you still have any other option to recover lost data from Window PC.

Thanks for your advice but as said, I did run the Recovery My File program (The best recovery program I learnt from the internet) but could not find out the files and folders. It's really awful :(

It's really awful. It seems your data has been lost, but still I recommend you to download the demo version (demo is free) of Stellar Phoenix Windows Data Recovery - Professional, and again scan your HDD using this tool. Try that, you can find your lost data in preview scanned items (may be!).

Wow, that's crazy. I used 5 recovery programs including Stellar Phoenix Windows Data Recovery but cannot see where are my missing folders (emails archive) :(. Lost my mind as well

Any help please
