Losing Format in Outlook Tasks (and calander appointments)

 I have been experiencing this issue of LOSING FORMAT of TASKS for some time now.   Athan explained the problem very well:

.... create tasks in Outlook 2013... with formatted text such bold, highlighting, bullets, etc.   The task will keep all the formatting for days/weeks. Then all of sudden I open a task and all the formatting, tables are gone and everything defaults to 

Calibri (body)

it's very inconsistent, I have over 70 tasks, and this issue will occur in a handful , not all of them. 

My account is on a corporate Exchange Server. any help is appreciated

I have the same issue as he, and even things like tabs are gone.   Anyone know what is going on?

Hi,

Do you have your tasks shared to other users? Or do you have your tasks synced on other mobile devices?

Do you have any virus scanner which may scan your Outlook items and cause the format to change?

In addition, we can try recreate the NormalEmail.dotm template to check if it will fix the issue. To do this, find the NormalEmail.dotm file from the following location:

C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Templates

Exit Outlook and then rename the NormalEmail.dotm to NormalEmail.old. Restart Outlook and check if this issue will return.
