You don't say what backup program you are using or what type of backup you are performing.

Hi wasay13, Please restart the MsExchangeReplication service on both CCR nodes first and backup again to see whether it works. If it doesn't work, please temp disable Anti-virus application if you have one. Hi I did the following steps and it worked for me 1. Suspend Storage Group Copy 2. Restart "Microsoft Exchange ActiveDirectory Topology" service in passive node 3. Resume Storage Group Copy Thanks. wasay13
