Log files not being deleted after VSS backup - it used to work
We have Exchange Server 2007. We are using Symantec Backup Exec System Recovery 2010 Small Business Server Edition to backup my server drives. We are running SBS 2008 as our OS. I do weekly full backups and incremental backups other nights. I have VSS turned on. This has been working fine for over a year. I now have log files going back to June 3, 2010. I have no errors in my backups and no errors in the event log that pertain to this as far as I can tell. I have rebooted since then. Any ideas on where to look for the problem?

Hi, Verify the Exchange VSS writer status by doing the following; -Open a command prompt -Type "vssadmin list writers" and press enter -Look for the writer named "Microsoft Exchange Writer" -The status of this writer should be listed as "[1] Stable". Can you post that result, thx Greetzz, Timmy
