Log file partition full, exchange server failed to backup ?
Hi Everyone, I'm having emergency problem here in our CCR Exchange Server 2007, the Log partition is currently almost full - less than 1 GB and I got the attached error message as follows. is there any permanent fix to prevent his to happens again ? my only solution is just restart the STORE.exe process during the business hours and pray that it will back up again as soon as possible. (http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=930800 ) my OS is Windows Server 2008 not 2003 and the Exchange Server 2007 version is 8.1 build 240.6 If anyone here know how to fix this issue, please share it here. Hi, Are you using Backup Exec server? If yes, please refer the following link: http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH52658 If the problem happen when using Windows NTbackup, please follow these steps to narrow down the root cause: 1. Run the following bat file to re-regsiter the following DLL: net stop "System Event Notification" net stop "COM+ Event System" net stop "Microsoft Software Shadow Copy Provider " net stop "Volume Shadow Copy" cd /d %windir%\system32 net stop vss net stop swprv regsvr32 /s ole32.dll regsvr32 /s oleaut32.dll regsvr32 /s Vss_ps.dll vssvc /register regsvr32 /s /i swprv.dll regsvr32 /s /i eventcls.dll regsvr32 /s es.dll regsvr32 /s stdprov.dll regsvr32 /s vssui.dll regsvr32 /s msxml.dll regsvr32 /s msxml3.dll regsvr32 /s msxml4.dll net start "COM+ Event System" Restart exchange server. 3. thanks for your reply man, no I'm using HP Data protector, the backup failed but then when I tried to restart the backup again (in order to cut down the transaction log file) it is still failed, therefore I must reset the store.exe process. is there any way to prevent such thing happening again in the future (eg. permanent fix ?)
