Log In prompt for workstation
Hi, So im setting up this dell latitude d410 as the designated presentation laptop here. Its setup witha local account for employees to log in with for traveling reasons, which is why its not on the domain. Anyways when you go somewhere on the network and it prompts you for the user name and password im wonder if there is any way you can get around having them to type domain\user when logging in? Or is there some sort of application better for what im trying to do. Basically i want them to have domain access easiest way possible without the laptop being part of the domain.any help would be greatfully appreciated!

Hi,Basically you need to join this computer into domain.- When users are traveling then ask them to login with their local computer account ComputerName\UserName and password.- When users are in network ask them to login with their domain account DomainName\UserName and password.Howerver this is Exchange Server - Admin forum, suggest you to post your query in Operating System forum according to OS you use to get better responses from the product experts.Windows Vista Forum:http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/category/windowsvistaitpro/Windows XP NewsGroup:http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone/newsgroups.mspxAmit Tank | MVP - Exchange | MCITP:EMA MCSA:M | http://ExchangeShare.WordPress.com
