Location indicator in Outlook calendar

Hey,

I have been working with Outlook for a very long period of time and one thing which have been a challenge for me is related to the calendar. I am a consultant and as such I have very deviating working locations. This means that in one day I can have meetings on up to four different physical locations. This gives a challenge when customers and collegues try to book meetings with me, then the transport time is often a challenge and secondly it is impossible to indicate my location without having to block the calender.

Do anybody know of an add-in or if a location feature is on the way to Outlook.

In my dream scenario then it would be neat if it was possible to indicate the physical location in the background without having the calendar look booked (lync meetings do not require physical appearance, hence it would be nice if such meetings can be requested when available just not on the requesters location).

Secondly if a location (GPS) is added to meetings then it would be possible for Outlook to automatically indicate required transport time if it is a physical meeting.

Just some thoughts to enhance the functionalities of Outlook. :-)

Regards,

Morten

Thank you for the great suggestions on Outlook, but there is no such location indicator feature within Outlook. Although revisions cannot be made to the application now, your feedback is appreciated. It will help improve later versions of these products. Microsoft values all customer feedback.

As a simple workaround, we may try to set your location on Microsoft Lync, and then have the users to look at your location field before scheduling a meeting with you.
