Locating emails with Retention Policies

It seems that the Advanced Find should be updated to locate emails that have retention policies set. I have not been able to find anyone who has been able to successfully display this information.

I have found some webpages speak to using powershell to identify the Retention tags on folders. But being that you can assign a Retention Tag to single emails, it seems like you should be able to Advanced Find these just like Flagged / Categorized emails.

Ideally, it would be nice if we could select it from Field Chooser.

Anyone with any ideas/implementations?

Thanks

Hello,

The Outlook object model doesn't provide any built-in property or method for that. Try using any low-level property viewer such as MFCMAPI or OutlookSpy for exploring hidden properties.

P.S. Note, the forum is for developers. I'd suggest asking non-programming questions on the Outlook IT Pro Discussions or Microsoft Answers forums instead.

Hi TimA,

As the reply from Eugene, your issue seems to be more related with Outlook product feature, I will move this thread to the more related forum.
