Local AutoDiscover
How do you configure autodiscover locally on a computer versus going thru the email server? I am trying to figure out the .xml file and rest of the config, like in this article: http://www.exchange-genie.com/2007/07/exchange-2007-autodiscover-service-part-1/

To enforce the XML check first set the following registry keys: Office 2007 – HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Outlook\Autodiscover\PreferLocalXML Office 2010 – HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Outlook\Autodiscover\PreferLocalXML Value: 1 Type: DWORD To set the path to the local XML file, set the following: Office 2007 – HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Outlook\Autodiscover\[Domain Name] Office 2010 – HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Outlook\Autodiscover\[Domain Name] Value: Full Path to XML file Type: STRING For example, litware.com, and its value is the full path to the XML file, C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Office12\Outlook\AutoDiscover\litware.com.XML An example XML file, and the schema for the is explained here: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc511507.aspx Tim Harrington - Catapult Systems - http://HowDoUC.blogspot.com
