Linking files from network to internal email

I am trying to send a fil location to a colleauge, I've tried sending a shortcut but that was blocked. I've tried to copy the whole file name but it doest appear completley in the window at the top of the file. The files i am trying to send are .dwg files so they are too big to copy directly into the e-mail. We are using Outlook 10 on a local authority network.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Hi,

If you want to share a file location to a colleague, please navigate to the file location and then right click on the folder. Select Properties and switch to Sharing tab. Under Sharing tab, you can see the network path of the file location. Now, click Share button and add the colleague you want to share the folder with. Click Share, click Apply.

After that, copy the network path you see under Sharing tab and paste into an email message. Click Send to share the file lication to your colleague.

If I've misunderstood something, please feel free to let me know.
