I linked a query from access to several boxes in Visio. I made major changes to the query where fields were removed and other fields were added, because of that, I removed the linked query from Visio and tried to relink with the newly modified query with the same name. the query was linked however, no rows showed in the external data pane. I removed it several times and relinked but no rows showed in the external data pane at all, even after I changed the query name and tried relinking. not sure what I did. can someone help?

try to use other name of the query, visio seems retain the old query name.

hum, I did not read it carefully. have you re-create a new access database and put sample data to re-link? I have never seen this issue before.

I know, very puzzeling. I did replace the database and imported all queries into the new one and tried to link and the same queries (2 queries) linked but does not show any row in the External data pane. it is driving me creazy. Is there a way to completely clean the Process box shape data? I noticed that, even though I remove the link, yet the box shape data is still showing, somehow, the information from the linked query. It seems to me that is what is causing the problem.
