License Key Not Working on Re-Install of Exchange Server 2007 Software
I have contacted Customer Servive, the Activation Center and Microsoft Technical Support and I was instructed to go here to get my questions answered. My question is as follows: I recently had a server with Microsoft Server Standard 2008 and Exchange Server 2007 installed and running for over 8 months. The server hardware failed and I was unable to find parts to repair and get it back up online (since it was 5 years old). I bought new hardware and installed the same Server Standard 2008 and Exchange Server 2007 software, using the same media CDs I had used when I first installed them on the old server equipment. The Server Standard 2008 installed fine and accepted the license key provided, but the Exchange Server 2007 installed fine, but didn't accept the license key that was used originally. Nothing has changed on the media or license keys. They are the same ones that worked previously, but now the Exchange Server 2007 won't accept the license key. I went to the Microsoft Volume Licensing Center and downloaded the license key again for the single version of Exchange Server 2007 we purchased on March 21, 2008. It gives me the same key that won't work on the machine. I called Microsoft andf spoke to Customer Service, Technical Support and the Activation Center and they were absolutely no help at all after over two hours of repeating myself. This shouldn't be difficult. I purchased the product, installed it, used the license key that was provided by Microsoft (that worked before), but now it doesn't work. Is there any way to get a license key that works with the product I installed. I am not going to re-install all over again and have our Exchange Server down for a long time, since we are a 24 hour business and use every aspect of Exchange to connect all over the country. I also don't believe I should have to pay for Professional Support when i already purchased the product and license, which worked fine, but now just needs to get the license key authorized. My information is listed below, please assist with any direction , or instructions, I can use to resolve this ridiculous issue. If it comes down to it, I will buy another license, as long as I don't have to re-install the software again. Well I dont have an answer as to why the license key wont work. I think you'll need to contact your original reseller and/or Microsoft again as these Forums are not designed for license issues. But you shouldnt have to reinstall Exchange regardless. You are currently in evaluation mode with the new Exchange install yes? Its 120 days and then requires the key.

The key you have posted is the Exchange 2007 key. On volume it is the same for everyone. I have just checked my own key and it is the same. The only reason I can think that it isn't working is that you have created too many databases and have exceeded the limit on standard edition.
