Last public folder will not move from 2003 to 2010
I only have one more public folder to remove and it's not playing nice. It's an 5MB E2003 calendar which I attempted to move using ESM 'Move All Replicas' last week but it's still listed in Public Folder Instances. I've tried the ReplaceReplicaonPFRecursive & MoveAllReplicas scripts also and waited days without a change. I've re-tried the steps in this article but no change: http://blogs.technet.com/b/agobbi/archive/2010/08/04/how-to-move-public-folder-from-exchange-2003-to-exchagne-2010.aspx What do I need to do to get this final PF off my 2003 server, preferably without impacting access to the users? Edit: Not sure if it's related, but my E2010 server is receiving this application error: The store driver couldn't deliver the public folder replication message "Folder Content Backfill Response (AHP-EXCH01-IS@domain.com)" because the following error occurred: Can't save invalid object Object Violation. Invalid property = [Calc:EndTime] EndTime. Invalid data for that property = 7/7/2010 4:00:00 AM. Constraint violated = Property [Calc:StartTime] StartTime must be LessThanOrEqual when compared to property [Calc:EndTime] EndTime....

Personally, I don't like MoveAllReplicas.ps1; I prefer to use AddReplicaToPFRecursive.ps1 and RemoveReplicaToPFRecursive.ps1 to ensure better control. Also, I'll typically run the Add script at the beginning of a migration and the Remove after all mailboxes are moved. As to your question, I'd use the Add script to put a replica of that particular folder back on the 2003 server. Use the appropriate tools to see how much of the data has replicated, by item count and folder size. You can then try to get the content moved by adding an item to the folder and/or using the Update-PublicFolder cmdlet. If you can't get the folder to replicate completely, you could copy the content to a PST file, remove the folder, add it back on the Exchange 2010 server and resotre the content. Before removing the folder, record the permissions and other settings since those won't export to the PST.Ed Crowley MVP "There are seldom good technological solutions to behavioral problems."

Sorry about the delay. The folder in question is listed both in PF Store\PF Instances and PF Store\Replication Status within System Manager. If I try to use 'Update-PublicFolder "\foldername" -server E2k3svr' then I get an error that E2k3svr is running Exchange 2003 or earlier. I guess I'll have to go the PST export route.
