Large email being submitted to mail store (via outlook) without proper alert pop up
Dear all, I found that for those email with size larger than permitted, a NDR return to our users. However, i'm expecting a pop up like below from outlook directly, so that the actually large email is not submitting to our precious mail store: "the message being sent exceeds the message size established for this user" Any idea? Thanks, Joe

This is a dangerous situation - I have faced a similar issue where one user tried to sent a mail attaching a divix movie (~1 GB). As Outlook dint checked the attachment size, the mail will get submitted to the HUB server and from HUB, message will get bounced back. Hub will become sluggish while processing this message and bounce back the NDR with the original message. What we identified as the reason for this loophole was the Outlook client running on a lower version. I assume that this particular user was running on Outlook 2003 with no updates happened after installation. Check the Outlook version, Make sure that all latest updates are installed and then see if the user gets the popup. Good luck.-Cheers Shaba

What version of Outlook? Are you running the latest SP/fixes as mentioned above? If not update? What if you try and send via OWA?Sukh
