KMS or MAK for VDI?
Hello, a client of ours is having issues with MAK activations not holding when a VDI VM is signed off of. Is KMS a preferred or recommended activation method when using Office on Virtual Desktops?

Hi,

It seems so.

MAK works well when using persistent desktops in VDI, persistent desktops are not refreshed so an administrator does not need to worry about desktops going through Sysprep regularly and consuming additional MAK licenses.

But if it's not persistent, KMS is preferred. With a KMS host the VMs will discover the KMS host and activate themselves automatically.
