KBs questions
Hello, Here my config: Operating System environnement: Microsoft Windows Server 2003, Enterprise Edition x64 - R2 Version 5.2.3790 ServicePack 2 Nu 3790 Type x64 **** Microsoft Exchange Environnement: Exchange Server 2007 Microsoft Corporation Version : 08.01.0263.000 On some DC + Exchange servers (Edge, hubcas mailbox), we are going to update/install all KBs (security KBs+ install SP2 roll up 4 for Exchange. Afetr upgrading all our servers, we would like to turn on the Automatic Updates on those servers and I am asked whether we should schedule servers restart (every week) in order to restart servers in case a KB would request it... My questions are: -Is it possible to know which KB's have just been install since we updated everything on our servers even though we turned on the Automatic Updates? (I though about "wmic qfe list" but I woudl need to get a sort of automatic report on which KBs haev been installed) - How can we know if the Kb requieres a restart? As long as we don't know how many KB's are released and requiered a restart, I don't see the point of restarting the servers every week without knowing what is installed on it.. Can you please help me on that?? Thanks, Graig
