KB2956203 Update - Now I cannot open Outlook 2010

Hi,

I am using Outlook 2010, Windows 7. I

My computer has downloaded the latest Microsoft updates. Now I cannot open Outlook, instead I receive the following error message:

"The file OLMAPI32.dll is incompatible with Microsoft outlook. Install Outlook again."

I was the person who reported a similar problem on this forum one month ago with the update KB2956128 - so the new update KB2956203 hasn't resolved the problem for my computer.

I am managing it at my end by installing all the updates manually and NOT installing this one, but this is not an ideal solution.

Are you able to please help?

Thanks.

Same here.  I had to go and block it from our update server and it still managed to install itself. I think I'm just going to decline all updates for outlook 2010. This is the second time in a month this has happened. The update KB2956128 basically shut down our entire company.

I have similar problem with both Outllok updates.

After instaling its, it's not possible to search shared contacts, deinstaling works again.

Same here.  I had to go around to every workstation to uninstall the previous one (KB2956128) - this update installed itself on 03/29/2015.  The issue we have is that it disables searching contacts on permitted folders and "not the latest message" has disappeared.

I can't keep spending weekends and evenings uninstalling this from all our workstations.  Stop "fixing" this or get it right.  Doesn't anyone test on exchange environments before releasing it on unsuspecting victims?

I can report another issue with this patch: after installing it on my Windows 7 laptop I got never-ending password prompt for my Exchange account, making it almost impossible to work on.

KB2956128 and KB2956203 broke the calendar in our Outlook across company. Whenever a user tries to set up a new meeting when adding a resource, Outlook automatically crashes and restarts. Generic error: "Microsoft Outlook has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you when a solution is available."

The calendar crash can be reproduced each time when these two updates are present and installed.

I have uninstalled both updates, no more crashes, but is this really an ideal solution to what continues to be pushed over by Microsoft Updates? Upon reinstalling them the crashes start all over again. Problem exists in both Outlook 2010 and 2013.

The Outlook calendar crashes started in February with KB2956128 and have happened since! Please fix whatever is broken with these two particular updates, long time overdue.
