Jet_errAttachedDatabaseMisMatch - Exchange 2010
Hi All, Running SBS 2011 Standard (which includes Exchange 2010 std) I need to restore some folders from a mailbox, they do not appear in the dumpster so going to backups. Restored one successfully, but the data was not there so going back to an older backup. Im using the built in backup tool, WSB, i have a copy of the database, and seemingly, the required logs. Database is in Dirty shutdown after restore completes. (eseutil /mh) When i try eseutil /R - i get.. Operation terminated with error -1216 (Jet_errAttachedDatabaseMisMatch, an outstanding database attachment has been detected at the start or end of recovery, database is missing or does not match attachment info) If i try eseutil /r /i - i get a success message, but the database stays in dirty shutdown. Not really sure what i am doing wrong. Just trying a restore from another date to see if that works, but as a rule, what should i do here? Im a little reluctant to run /p because i have the required log files, all 'seems' to be in order. Any help or advice welcome. Thanks. If the /R isn;t helping then you may well have to go for the /P to get it into a consistent state. You have a backup of the DB anyway which you can go back to. Sukh

Thanks, i have resolved to do that now. Just curious as to why, with all the logs etc, i had to do this. Could it indicate an issue with the success of the backup?Robert Pearman SBS MVP (2011) | www.titlerequired.com | www.itauthority.co.uk
