Jason Lapene - How to change the keyboard shortcuts in MS Word
Hi, my name is Jason Lapene from Atlanta, a  newbie here. I am using windows 8 and I have installed MS-Office 2011 in my laptop, now I want to change the keyboard shortcuts. Please suggest me easiest way to do this...

Hello Jason,

As far as I know, Office for Mac 2011 is a specialized version which can only be installed on Mac, not Windows platform.

I'm assuming you are actually using a Windows-based Office client. Let me know if this is not the case.

To customize the keyboard shortcuts, take Word 2013 as an example here, you can:

  1. Go to FILE>Options, select Customize Ribbon
  2. Select Customize... button
  3. Select the category and command that you want to assign a keyboard shortcut to or remove a keyboard shortcut from
  4. Press the combination of keys that you want to assign in the Press new shortcut key box
  5. Save the changes.
