Items left on source after successful mailbox move
After a successful move, I have 2 items left on the source Exchange 2003 SP2 server. Using ESM on server B, I moved a mailbox from server A. According to server B, the move was successful. When looking at the mailbox store on Server A, I could see the items slowly decrease from over 24K to just 2 items. Normally, the source mailbox gets removed pretty quickly after a successful move. Any suggestions? Thanks

Any further information in the either the event log of the machine used to perform the move or the move mailbox xml log file? Tony www.activedir.org

No additional info in the logs. After a backup of the database, the option to purge the mailbox was available. When I attempted to purge the mailbox, I received the following error. "operation can't be performed because mailbox was already reconnected" When looking up this error, I found KB 930363. I removed the Exchange attributes from the AD account. Then, I was able to purge the orphaned mailbox on the source database. Then, I reconnected the mailbox with the AD account. Thanks for your respinse. Ron
