Issues with Microsoft Office and WIndows 10

Since I downloaded and installed Windows 10, I can open my Word and Excel files from Office 2010, but they only open in the "read only" format.  When I try to save the files after changes, it tells me I do not have administrator rights to complete the action.   I am signed in as the administrator on my computer.  Also, it will tell me it won't save to the location I want to save it but offers to save it in another location.  When I try to save it there, I gives me the same responses.  It goes into a loop.

I have looked at the properties under the Word files to make sure the "read only" box is not checked.

Please help with this problem.

Thanks,

Bruce

Hi Bruce,

As far as I know, some other users get different issues in Office after upgrading to Windows 10.

First of all, I suggest you try to open Excel in safe mode,  if it works fine try to disable add-ins in Excel.

Then you can try to repair Office in Windows, and check if it works for you.

After repairing Office if your issue still exists, please provide more information about the issue. I'm glad to help and follow up your reply.
