Issue post moving mailbox between databases
Hi there After moving a user form one DB to another, I noticed the users mailbox is also now listed as a "disconnected mailbox". I notice events 9533 and event 1203 ( Failed to delete the mailbox of /O=XXX/OU=XXX.CO.ZA/CN=RECIPIENTS/CN=XXX with error 0x8004010f). I read some post regarding installing rollups for Exchange 2007 SP1, is this the correct way to persue and resolve this? Stephane

I am not clear on how that article will helo me. I am quite familiar on how to move mailboxes using the GUI and powershell. The move was reported as successful. I suspect that what happened is that the 'removing source mailbox' did not complete successfully. Stephane

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/178757 the error (events 9533 and event 1203) is safe to ignore. I didnt understand the part that the users mailbox is disconnected, where did u see that? All the best

in the Disconnected Mailbox under Recipient Configuration in the Exchange Management Console. The one listed there shows the as it was before the move. Its almost like there was an issue deleting the source mailbox during the move??

Hi, Do following things, and see if that user is still in disconnected users list. 1. Restart MS Exchange Information Store service on mailbox servers(s) invloved 2. Run following command on EMS of any exchange server Get-MailboxDatabase |Clean-MailboxDatabase Regards,Laeeq Qazi|Team Lead(Exchange + Sharepoint + BES + DynamicsCRM) www.HostingController.com
