Is there any way to change permissions on public contacts?
I have a situation where two users need to be able to make edits to a public contact list. They have several lists in the public folders and they both have owner rights on these contact lists. On every list they can make edits except for one of them. One list in particular features many contacts that state "read-only" for these users. I have setup the administrator's mailbox on the terminal server to test access to this folder and even the Admin is not able to make changes to these contacts and they all state read-only. I have created a new contact list and copied over all of these contacts to the new list. Before doing so, I granted full owner rights to the two users for this list. Now when I look in this list I can edit these contacts as an Admin and they no longer show as read-only, but still the two users are unable to make changes and they show as read only for them. Is there any way that I can provide them the same access to this list as the admin has? I have aleady made them public folder operators in exchange management console, and clearly they have the necessary rights to edit other contacts in other lists.. why just these contacts in the one list that are causing the issue? Is there any way to edit their permissions?? Thanks!!!

Hi Batinc, Which version of exchange do you use? If exchange 2007, we could use PFdavadmin: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?familyid=635be792-d8ad-49e3-ada4-e2422c0ab424&displaylang=en If exchange 2010, we could use Exfolder: http://gallery.technet.microsoft.com/Exchange-2010-SP1-ExFolders-e6bfd405 The two tools could help use easily configure the permission of the PF folder for users.
