Is there a limit on the number of categories in Outlook Web Access?
I know email rules can be limited by the amount of memory available. Does anyone know if Categories are subject to the same limitation... and if categories are stored in the same file as email rules. I am asking as we are unable to create any additional categories in Outlook Web Acccess 2007... but we can create them in Outlook on a users computer. Thanks for any insights. Tomster2

HI Tomester2, YOu can change rule quota value in exchange 2007. To change the RulesQuota value in Exchange Server 2007, we can use this cmdlet in the Exchange Management Shell: Set-Mailbox <user> -RulesQuota:256KB See my old post for more detail. http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/exchangesvradmin/thread/b6cd8861-7147-4894-9704-a582ed8e49baAnil MCC 2011,ITIL V3,MCSA 2003,MCTS 2010, My Blog : http://messagingschool.wordpress.com

Hi, You can’t create any additional categories in Outlook Web Access 2007, but can create them in Outlook, which is by design. As for the number of categories in Outlook Web Access, there is a limit and they are by default. You can’t create categories using OWA. But, when you mark an email in Outlook using new creation category, there will be some label in OWA but no colour. Hope this helps. ThanksSophia Xu
