Is multi-mailbox search available in E2K13 with the standard CAL?
And can it be used to search Journal mailboxes?

Earlier this month we
announced a change on this blog related to licensing for
Multi-Mailbox Search. Since then weve received questions about when itll go into effect. The change will go into effect starting October 1, which is when itll be reflected in the product use rights (PUR). The PUR
contain the terms and conditions for how you can use software license purchased through a Microsoft Volume Licensing program and is updated quarterly. Youll see the change represented in the October Product List. Weve updated the original post to include
this information.
While well have more to share about licensing for the new Exchange in the coming months, I can tell you this change will also carry over into licensing for Exchange Server 2013.
And yes, you can search the journal mailbox.

Andy,
This is encouraging as I try to make the case for E2K13. I saw the blog post relating to 2010 and was hoping it would be carried through. I really regret that we can't move away from Jounal mailboxes and use in-place hold instead, but the cost to upgrade to
E CAL is prohibitive.
Thanks for your reply.
