Is it top secret or does anyone have a chart that explains the mailbox icons for Exch 2010
I have searched several times but have only found a few forum postings that contain a few of the common icons. Surely Microsoft has a full list/chart of all the icons and their meanings?Stunpals - Disclaimer: This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties.

I see there a column "Recipient Type Details" which looks like the what I am looking for. Any idea how I get a Linked mailbox - "A mailbox that's assigned to an individual user in a separate, trusted forest.", when there is only one domain, in a single forest?Stunpals - Disclaimer: This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties.

Hi, If the mailboxes were created in Exchange 2003 and had the mailboxpermission "Associated external account" set when it was moved to Exchange 2010, that would explain why they were created as LinkedMailboxes. See: some users migrated from Exch2003 to 2010 become linked mailboxes You can convert these mailboxes to a UserMailbox, by running: Set-User -Id <USER> -LinkedMasterAccount $null Martina Miskovic

Thanks for the reply Martina I had 3 mailboxes that were linked, only one of them was originally on a 2003 server and moved to the 2010. It should not have been associated to external content but I can't confirm that. The other 2 were new mailboxes created on the 2010 server, not sure how they became linked. No matter your syntax worked and they are now standard user mailboxes.Stunpals - Disclaimer: This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties.
