Option 1 will work if you have a HLB, dont think a switch will do it. Has to be a HLB.Sukh

Scenario: OS - WinServer2008R2 EnterpriseEdtion 2010
what is the best way to achieve full HA
1. By using Typical installation (HUB/CAS/MailBox) on each of physical server. how could be achieved NLB for CAS array and DAG? is it possible without some extra hardware/software???
2. Using HyperV machines
Sever 1 - Guest01 (Hub/CAS) Guest02(Mailbox)
Server 2 - Guest03 (Hub/CAS) Guest04(MailBox)
how licences i'll need on each of the scenarios?
thank youErindOsmani

Option 1 - no, you cannot have 2x hub/cas/MB servers with DAG and NLB configured since windows failover cluster service conflicts with windows network load balancing service. Must use a hardware load balancer in this case (although there are some virtual
HLBs available for low costs like from Kemp Technologies).
Option 2 - This will work with NLB although NLB is definitetly not preferred over HLB
Take a look at these post about using NLB:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2644137/
http://www.stevieg.org/2010/11/exchange-team-no-longer-recommend-windows-nlb-for-client-access-server-load-balancing/
You will need to license every Exchange server installed. You only need Standard Edition for the HUB and CAS and for the MB role Enterprise gets you support for more that 5 databases.

For the license question, please use the contact information in
http://www.microsoft.com/licensing/contact-us.aspx which would be the best place for asking the answer.Fiona Liao
