Is it ok to delegate permissions to a local account instead of a domain account?
Hi there, I've created local users on each of my Exchange 2003 servers to run some WMI queries on mailbox size etc. Now I just need to delegete Exchange View Only permissions to the local user accounts. I can do that by explicitly entering mailservername\reportusername in the Delegate Permissions window. My question is if delegating permissions to a local user, as opposed to a domain user, could cause any problems or damage? (The alternative is using a domain account - but I would need to give it local admin permissions and I want to avoid that.) Thanks, - Alan.
