Is it Against the EULA to...?
Is it against the Microsoft End User License Agreement on Windows XP to edit the explorer.exe? (For example to change the text of the start menu) The program Resource Hacker would be used to do this. I was wondering if it was considered reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembly, or in some other way illegal. By the way the EULA says. "4. LIMITATIONS ON REVERSE ENGINEERING, DECOMPILATION, AND DISASSEMBLY. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software, except and only to the extent that such activity is expressly permitted by applicable law notwithstanding this limitation." Thanks for your time.

Hi, You should probably get your legal advice from a lawyer and not some guy in a forum. EULAs are very restrictive and I would suspect that you would be in conflict with the EULA by modifying that. Also this forum is for Exchange Server and not XP. -matt
