Is Excel's 'Print to file' Dialog title changed in Windows 8?

I have observed a change in Excel's 'Print to file' Dialog title in windows 8.

In Excel when you say print to file:

In Windows 7: Dialog comes up with the title " Print To File" with two button "Ok" and "Cancel".

In Windows 8: Dialog comes up with the title " Save Print Output As" with two button "Save" and "Cancel".

Can anybody explain me the reason/details of this change? Is it documented somewhere?

Perhaps the default printer in Window 8 (or at least the currently active printer) is not a physical printer, but for example a PDF printer?

Hi PrashantAgarwal,

Could you tell me which version of office are you using?

My version is Office Professional Plus 2013.I test your doubts in my own environment, and get the same conclusion.  As shown in the following figures:

In my Windows 7 system it pops up with the dialog box title is Print to file, after entering the file name, it default saves in \Documents.

In my Windows 8 system it pops up with the dialog box title is Save Print Output As, and you can customize the path you want to save the file. If you click Hide Folders, the dialog box similar as it pops up in Windows 7.

Actually, the function is the same. Windows saves the formatting and layout information of your file so a printer can reproduce the document without the program or computer that created it.  It just changes the dialog box in Windows 8, it wont affect using normally.
