Intalling Exchange Server 2003
I have a client that is setup with a Windows 2003 Small Business Server. Unfortunately this server is not running as a Domain Controller. There is about 30 computers in the office that access it for file & print sharing, and about 10 others that access it that through VPN. The Server just does mostly file sharing, print sharing, VPN and also runs an SQL Database of theirs. We feel this Server isn't capable of doing more. So I'm trying to setup a new Server, which I will also install Windows 2003 SBS on, and also setup Exchange 2003. My question is, is it possible for me to have a 2nd Server like this run along side the main server? To be able to run Exchange and setup on the workstations, is one of the pre-requisists that all the Workstation in the office be on the DOMAIN?? I had a hard time getting the Domain Controller to work on the main Server, and I don't want to revisit that issue if I don't have to. So my question is: Do you need to be on the domain or have a domain controller running, in order to have Exchange Email Accounts?? Thank you, Roshan

Hi, Yes, the prerequisite for deploying Exchange server is the Windows server must be add into domain or Domain Controller itself which used to host Exchange server. Thanks Allen
