I have seized all FSMO operations for my domain controller and I'm still getting this error when trying to install Exchange 2007. The OS is Windows 2003 R2 Also the local administrator is not part of the domain and can't install.

I tried with the Administrator account and it still failed.

Hi Matt Beach As suggested by Mumin CICEK add the user account to the Administrators (Built-in local) security groups. Isuggest you refer to the following steps to fix:1. Run ADSIEdit.msc.2. Expand Schema partition, rigth clickcn=schema,cn=configuration,dc=domain,dc=com, and then select properties.3. Click security, ensure that Schema Admins has full control permission,click Advanced, check Schema Admins "Apply to" is set to "This object andall child objects".4.
