Hi,

Do you have cached Exchange mode enabled? If so, please make sure you have the 'Download shared folders' option enabled:

1. In Outlook, click File , click Account Settings , and then click Account Settings (again).

2. Select the Microsoft Exchange account, and then click  Change .

3. Click More Settings .

4. Click the Advanced tab.

5. Select the Download Shared Folders option.

6. Click OK , click Next , click Finish , and then click Close in the Account Settings dialog box.

7. Restart Outlook and then test the issue again.

Please let me know the result.

Thank you for the update.

Since you are using Outlook in Online Mode, the search feature passes the query to the Microsoft Exchange server, utilizing the index available on the server. It's more likely a server side issue. I'd recommend you post a new question in Exchange forum for further assistance:

The reason why we recommend posting appropriately is you will get the most qualified pool of respondents, and other partners who read the forums regularly can either share their knowledge or learn from your interaction with us. Thank you for your understanding.
