Installing Exchange 2007 SP1 on SBS 2008
Hi AllI have installed SBS 2008, configured Exchange 2007 including roles, OWA, users, distribution lists, etc and everything worked well. Now looking to import mail and found that I need Exchange 2007 SP1. When I ran the Exchange 2007 SP1 Setup, I get the Setup in maintenance mode and it will not let me proceed unless I makea role selection. How do I install SP1 so I can start importing PST files? Thanks

Hi,Actually SBS2008 should have Exchange 2007 SP1 because Exchange 2007 RTM is not supported on Windows 2008 and only SP1 can be installed. However to use Import-Mailbox/Export-Mailbox cmdlets, it requires...- 32 bit of computer and OS- 32 bit of Exchange 2007 SP1- Outlook 2007 or 2003-SP2So you can choose any of the Windows XP workstation or Windows 2003 32bit server to install just Exchange Management Tools and use Import/Export mailbox cmdlets. How to Import Mailbox Datahttp://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb691363.aspxSBS 2008 How to Export and Import Mailboxes To and From PSThttp://blogs.technet.com/sbs/archive/2009/01/13/sbs-2008-how-to-export-and-import-mailboxes-to-and-from-pst.aspxAmit Tank | MVP - Exchange | MCITP:EMA MCSA:M | http://ExchangeShare.WordPress.com
