I am installing a new exchange server 2003 in an existing site but in a different tree in one forest. The problem is that I can send Email to the new server but I can't send email from the new server. I see Email backing up in the queue. Any idea what is causing this? Thanks, Dan

Because you have two different organizations, you first should validate your messaging dependencies are configured properly. For example, validate DNS and name resolution dependencies. If MX Records are required if you are not forwarding to smart hosts, etc. Then you can proceed to a much deeper level of troubleshooting. Check your Exchange settingscan you send to the internet and back. Message routing issues are most commonly related to name resolution issues. Chris
