Cannot find a good reliable answer for this. I have only one server. One, Uno, 1, NOT TWO.... with Exchange 2007 on a Windows 2003 x64. And I just don't care about Security whatsoever. For a unique and peculiar reasons, I need to install the Edge Transport on this server (newly installed Exchange + O/S). Already installed ADSI, ATOM, LDAP, everything; but the darn Check Box on the Edge Transport is still grayed out. Question ... very simple: Is it possible, or not possible .... to install all 4-5 Exchange Roles on one server. Why not?

You can't install the Edge server role with any other roles. or even be part of the (internal) domain, since it is designed to be installed in the DMZ to perform you hygene. Sukh
