As my experiance . we are facing some of the issue where ever the exchange server or AD server are inside the vmware. I wouldn't call it a best practice, but it is supported and is widely and successfully done. I can't say from the information in your post whether your problem is related to virtualization or something else. -- Ed Crowley MVP "There are seldom good technological solutions to behavioral problems." . Hi Avinash I am running exchange and AD in vmware server 1.0 and 2.0 since 2006, there were no issues, by the looks of your issue, it is related to network, check your netlogon services and dns services, can you post what errors are you getting, what you mean they are not talking????? Hi Mark, I am running AD server on physical machine and exchange 2007 server inside the vmware. The actual problem is all outlook and OWA clients are disconnecting and connection automatically. When we try to find the is error in event log, its pointing towards that exchange server is not able to find out GC server. We have checked the connectivity and it seems ok. When we run the best practice analyzer it shows you vmware network driver is more than 2 years old. We had asked with VMWARE team he said we have updated the Network driver in VMWARE.
