We are currently 'attempting' an install of Exchange 2003 on a brand new box. This is a FRESH install and this will be the only thing running on the machine other than a simple intranet CMS later on.So far I have set up an exchange admin account and it has FULL rights on the domain. The box is joined to the domain and logs on accordingly.However, I cannot for the life of me get a forest prep to run. The error is the standard 'you do not have permission to update the AD Schema or the server is too busy.' roughly quoted, but I am sure most of you are familiar with it.So that is where I stand with this. I was curious if I might need to reboot the PDC to trigger a reset on the account that I am using to install the exchange server or if my log files might give some insight into the problem.I have already added the registry entry that allows the schema to be updated...or verified that it is set to '1'.Further inclusion...this is the entry in the log file that is repeated about 8-10 times when I try to do a forest prep. Yes I am a member of all of the appropriate groups. I am logged in as the domain admin on the machine that is connected to the domain and is to have the exchange server installed on it.I have even failed to be able to run a forest prep logged in as admin on the DC.
