Install Exchange 2007 when all servers are windows 2008r2
I am trying to get Exchange 2007 installed on my Windows 2008R2 network. I have seen the posts about SP2 but I can't get Exchange itself installed on my network. Downloading SP2 and copying the 2 XML files wont help as I can not even get Exchange installed. I need to know how to get it installed for the first time when I have only Windows 2008R2 DC's. I get the error about No Global Catalogs are found. TIA.

First off...if you are installing Exchange 2007 on Windows 2008 R2 OS, you will need Exch 2007 SP3. Start with this, do not upgrade from SP2 to SP3. Here is the download: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=1687160b-634a-43cb-a65a-f355cff0afa6&displaylang=en If your install is complaining about no GC found, this is a requirement. You must have a GC in the same AD site as the Exchange server is going to be in. Also, during the first server install, Schema/Forest/Domain extentions need to be made. These need to happen from a server in the same AD site as your Schema master.
