Install Ex 2007 Management Tools (SP2) on Windows 7 Ultimate?
I'm trying to install the Exchange Server 2007 Exchange Management Tools on Windows 7 Ultimate (both 32 bit), but the Readiness Checks have decided that Exchange 2007 is not supported on this operating system. "Error: This computer is running Windows 7 Ultimate. Exchange Server 2007 is bit supported on this operating system." The page where I downloaded the tool from does not agree. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=6be38633-7248-4532-929b-76e9c677e802&displaylang=en#Requirements "Supported Operating Systems: Windows 7; Windows Server 2003 R2 (32-Bit x86); Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 2; Windows Server 2008; Windows Vista; Windows XP Service Pack 3" I tried installing as a local admin, and as an exchange admin with the same results.

The title of your post says SP2. Only SP3 is supported on a Windows 7 machine. See the following link/matrix, click the Supported Operating System Platforms section: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff728623(EXCHG.141).aspx Tim Harrington - Catapult Systems - http://HowDoUC.blogspot.com

Do you try to install Exchange Management Tools SP1 1st then upgrade to SP2?

Thanks. Now if only Microsoft would link this to the download page and update the requirements section. Too much wasted time on this one thanks to sloppy documentation.
