Hi, I have Exchange 2003 std, and there appears to be a problem with the size of the private and public information stores. The private store appears to have only 2mb of available space, although the total mailboxes etc are less than 1GB?? Event ID is 1221, the event says: Ths database "first storage group\mailbox store (SERVER02)" has 2mb of free space after online defragmentation has terminated. Firstly, does anyone know how to resolve this? Also, Is my information store about to dis-mount? A full exchange backup runs daily at 2100 using backup exec (if that helps). Many Thanks Paul

This is normal. Exchange reports this during its IS maintenance. It says that you have 2 MB free space inside the database file, if it runs out of space inside the database file it will expand tha database file. in Exchange 2003 SP2 you can have database files up to 18 GB , and with a registry key settings you can have it up to 75GB your store will not dismount if you only have approx 1 GB database file
