InfoPath 2013 E-mail Form Template Saved as Outlook Template (MSG)

Hello,

I created an E-mail form template in InfoPath 2013 which I test and worked.  I create a weekly newsletter and would like to include the form template in the newsletter as an Outlook template (MSG) in order to be able to double click the e-mail message icon in order to open the e-mail that has the form imbedded in the body of the e-mail for submission back to the associated e-mail address.  I am able to attach the InfoPath template (XSN); can the form be submitted from the form itself?

thank you,

Gina

Hi,

From the description, you created an Infopath template(XSN), then attached the XSN to an Outlook template(MSG) which you created with InfoPath 2013.  Last, insert the MSG to the weekly newsletter as an attachment.

Please let me know if I have misunderstood something.

I have followed the steps and tested the result.

First, I test it with another account in my Outlook.

I get the newsletter message, then double-click the attached MSG file to open it. After that, click on the XSN imbedded in the email body to open the XSN. Now, I can change the form and submit it.

Then, I test it with another account in another computer, of course, it didnt work. We should make sure the receiver can access to the form template you created. To do this, we can publish the form to organizational library or put it in a shared location. See:
