Incorrect names with Outlook 2013

We recently switched some users over to Outlook 2013 and the usernames displayed in the emails are not correct. We have traced the problem to alias names used in exchange which were created when employees left the company and their email address was added to the new employee who took their position.

The client runs Exchange 2007 on an SBS2008 box.  I don't believe this has anything to do with the issue but is mentioned here for clarity.

Users on Outlook 2010 do not experience the issue.  Removing the aliases has fixed the problem with some users but not others.  I can't remove all aliases.

Other additional details:  Outlook 2013 is installed on brand new machines with newly created user profiles.  Microsoft CRM is also installed on-premises but I can't find a connection to that application in terms of the aliases.

Any help on resolving this issue would be appreciated.

Thank you,

their email address was added to the new employee who took their position.

How did you do this? Did you create a new mailbox for the new employee with the same email address or use the original mailbox?

By 'usernames displayed in the emails', do you mean the display name showing in the From, To or Cc fields? Would you please provide a screenshot to help us understand the issue?

'Users on Outlook 2010 do not experience the issue.' -- Do you mean users who encountering this issue in Outlook 2013 do not have the same problem on Outlook 2010?

Thank you for your patience.
