Incoming HTML messages having equal signs inserted, plain text is ok...Exchange 2007 SP2
Very strange problem, hoping someone can help... Exchange 2007 SP2 on Windows server 2008 SP2. Small network, 1 Exchange server, 10 users. Recently, and only for SOME users, messages that are in RTF or HTML format get garbled. Mostly they have an = sign followed by a space randomly dispersed throughout the message. Plain text seems to come through fine, BUT if i telnet to port 25 of the server, and send messages that way, there are no extra characters, but part of the messages is lost, sometimes the whole body of the message. I've run diskscans, SFC, Applied SP2 and the Rollup. BTW if i make new users they definitely have the problem. Any ideas?

No, sorry, that doesn't help at all...its not an Outlook problem, the message is corrupted no matter how you view it, including in OWA.

Check what value is set for your Carriage Line Feed and New Line options. By setting mine to "\r\n" (to comply with RFC 822) has corrected the issue on my end. Hope that helps.
