As IMAP stores it email at server-level, you don't need to transfer anything. Simply reconfigure the IMAP account on your other computer and Outlook will cache the emails from the server again. The cache (ost-file) can't be transferred to another computer.

Be careful about any data that you have stored in "This computer only" folders though.

I support Roady, you don't need to worry about the format, just configure IMAP account and it will sync data automatically.

Hi,

Robert is right, but I noticed you mentioned it was an email backup file, is it a .pst file?

If you have archived some emails from the IMAP account to local, it is a .pst file that can be imported or opened on other Outlook client.

I hope our suggestions are helpful to you.

Hi,

Based on my knowledge, Contacts synchronization is not supported by IMAP, not a limitation of Outlook but IMAP itself.
