In Outlook 2010 "when sending email, check address lists in this order" doesn't allow me to add the contacts folder from a secondary mailbox under my profile. I only see the contacts folders associated with my own (primary) mailbox and not the contacts folders of this secondary shared mailbox.

I assume that you added the secondary mailbox to your existing email account, and if that's true then yes, that is the expected behavior. You can, though, add the secondary mailbox as an additional email account, in which case you should be able to use the Contacts from that secondary mailbox as one of the address lists that gets searched when reconciling typed addresses.

The answer to this question is very simple - it just took me a long time to figure it out:

Simply add the second mailbox as a secondary mailbox in the profile settings of your primary mailbox profile. This worked just fine. All other suggestions posted online did not work for me.
