Import POP Email Addresses into Exchange Addres List
Hi Guys In a large company I've created an address list in exchange 2007, I included the filter option for people with exch mailboxes, external acc etc. This works fine but we have other users who have POP accounts scattered across the country, How do I import there AD (email) details into the address list on exchange. hope that makes sense Thanks RTT Admin

No way to import them, as such, but you can add Active Directory Contacts for them. You can add these in Recipient Configuration/Mail Contact (rather than Recipient Configuration/Mailbox).Outlook Web Access For PDA , OWA For WAP www.owa-pda.com email a@t leederbyshire d.0.t c.0.m

Oh, when you said POP accounts, I assumed that your users had accounts with various different ISPs. If you are running your own POP server, and are in a position to export a list of users, you can probably import them with csvde: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/327620Outlook Web Access For PDA , OWA For WAP www.owa-pda.com email a@t leederbyshire d.0.t c.0.m

Hi, Or you can use Powershell to create bulk mail contacts. Create a csv file, for example: c:\Mailcontacts.csv, the format of file should be: Name,ExternalEmailAddress aa,aa@aa.com bb,bb@bb.com ... Power shell: Import-csv c:\MailContacts.csv | foreach {New-MailContact -Name $_.Name -ExternalEmailAddress $_.ExternalEmailaddress} More information about New-Mailcontact: http://technet.microsoft.com/zh-cn/library/bb124519(EXCHG.80).aspxFrank Wang
