I would like to verify proper operation of Journal Rule
I created a journal rule so user J*** Viger obtains a copy of every message sent to Z**** Tremblay:Recipient : ztremblay@company.org
JournalEmailAddress : J**** Viger
Scope : Global
Enabled : True
Identity : Tremblay
Guid : 9e603123-d54c-4b8d-9d4e-674230cb8285
Name : Tremblay
IsValid : True
WhenChanged : 12/1/2009 7:27:52 PM
ExchangeVersion : 0.1 (8.0.535.0)
This is what it looks like in the EMC:http://syugxq.blu.livefilestore.com/y1pc8kc7z6eJVk8aCw-KblNizTZAIF307Eo9C9qSYXFol2N_S_EDdCznSv-NqOKNqtky_zGgFJkt5C_0QEDVd614fbR_g4Qkcuh/JournalR-1.JPGResult: Viger receives two emails for each message sent to Tremblay.
- A copy of the message.
- A email with subject, sender and recipient info as well as the message ID.

Does this look like it is configured correctly?

I can't see the screenshots (firewall rules here), but it sounds to me like behaviour by design. Exchange 2007 (and later) uses envelope journaling (an optional feature in previous versions), which is why you see the envelope details in one message, plus the original message. Is there any reason why you don't set up a delegate relationship between the two, so that Viger receives a copy of emails sent to Tremblay? Tony

Thank you.Is there any reason why you don't set up a delegate relationship between the two, so that Viger receives a copy of emails sent to Tremblay? In this fictional practice scenario, Viger is keeping an eye on Tremblay (enforcingregulations or what not).I conceal the names simply because I might use the name of a real(not necessarily living) person and want to avoid... any problems.Yes, I'll have to look into the delegate option for another scenario.I don't need to do everything you might be tested on for an MCTS exam at my workplace, but I want to gain experience doing them for practice at least.
