I want to find way to track exchange VSS on exchange 2003 server.Our system os is 2003. client is outlook 2003. OS :XP

I find similar case. But you can post it to server forum too. Before you take a VSS trace you need to set the Exchange VSS Writer to FULL tracing => Exchange System Manager=> Servers=> Properties of Server in context=> "Diagnostics Logging" page=> Under Services select MSExchangeIS->System=> Under categories select "Exchange VSS Writer"=> Set the logging level to "Maximum" Then go to \tools\VSSReports download the appropriate "vssreports.cab" file to exchange server->extract the content to local drive on server->prepair for the VSS operation, make sure that VSS writer is in Stable (no error) state->run "generate_vss_reports.cmd"-> this will set all the parameters required and execute the tracing engine ->once the command prompt says "Please reproduce the problem now", keep the Command prompt open and try to reproduce the error->once done, hit Enter on the command prompt to collect the logs & pack them in a VSSREPORTS_%BACKUP_DATE%__%BACKUP_TIME%.cab file
