Hi there, I just remove the second storage group from exchange 2007 standard sp3. Also, I delete the database manually. However, I try to add new storage group again with the same name "second storage group". Exchange doesn't allow me. It says I couldn't because of the same CN still there. So, I use ADSI EDIT and found in configuration--CN=Services----CN=microsoft Exchange-----........------CN=Second Storage Group My question is Can I delete it in the ADSI EDIT interface? then I can create the same storage group? That should clear it from AD and let you add it again but I am surprised when you deleted from EMC it did not remove it from AD.MVP Exchange Server

Check the AD replication... it should get deleted.. keep adsiedit.msc .. last option.
